COMING BY TRAIN?
Ride in.
Walk right over.
New Bedford Station is on the other side of Route 18. The pedestrian bridge brings you across to Purchase Street and the Summer Social event area.
Arrive at New Bedford
Choose New Bedford Station as your destination—not Church Street Station.
Head to the elevator
From the station, head toward the pedestrian bridge at the Whale’s Tooth parking lot / Acushnet Avenue side. Take the elevator or stairs up to the bridge.
Cross over Route 18
Walk across the pedestrian bridge toward Purchase Street. The walking route goes over the highway.
You’re at Summer Social
The Purchase Street landing brings you into the event area between Pearl and Willis streets.
Plan your trip to New Bedford Station and check your return train before heading out. August 2027 schedules may change. If you need elevator access, check MBTA service and accessibility alerts before traveling.
